Pictures of our route from Tokyo to Vietnam. When we arrived we got through customs and immigration quite rapidly with no questions asked. Between us, we have many bags and boxes. We brought manikins (donated by Armstrong Medical and WorldPoint), toys donated by Children's Memorial Hospital, medical supplies and antibiotics for the children at an orphanage here. We had not even finished collecting all of our bags and Nancy was checking out the duty free shopping!
We loaded all of our bags on to an airconditioned bus - oh yes - at 1 in the morning it was about 86 degrees F and had been raining so the humidity was very high. We were all dripping. We were taken to our hotel - the Lavender Hotel - where we get 6 hours in a very nice room. We meet for breakfast at 8 AM and head out for our first day of work.
Everyone is really nice. Many of our group know each other already - many have done trips with JFC before. But everyone is welcoming, helpful and friendly.
